Saya Yamagishi is an artist who creates small sculptures and pieces of jewelry embellished with maki-e gold lacquer designs. This is her first collaboration with an illuminated manuscript maker. The resulting works are precious objects born from dialog, as if tracing the lines of an ancient hand drawn book.
